MArvel Icon Series - The Punisher

Hello!

Before the movies I really did not have much of an idea of what The Punisher as all about! I really enjoyed both films, the first due to the story, and the second film because of Ray Stevenson (from ROME, and who rocks tasty abs!).

Anyway I really thought the design of this guy was rather nice and clean, keeping the vibe within a small area. I just really love the slicked-back rendering of his hair, and his "Time to kick ass and take names" facial expression!.

Once again this guys is designed by Rudy Garcia and limited to 2,000 pieces. A fantastic addition even if you are not collecting the whole set.

Thanks!

Marvel Icons Series - Magneto

Hello!

Here is another of the Marvel Icons series, I really do enjoy this little guy, I oftern look at it and wonder what the full sized verion would look like. I wish compaines did a edition where they had a mini bust and a full sized statue compainion... I dont know if it would take off, but I think it would look cool :)

I find it interesting that they were able to get the outfit and the mask right in this statue, but X-Men first class was not! For a rather suit basic design I really do think this looks very nice and dynamic.

He is another 2000 edition and sculpted by Rudy Garcia. This is well worth the $50ish for anyones collection!

Thanks, enjoy!

Marvel Icons Series - Emma Frost

Hello!

Here is one of my many mini busts, from the "Marvel Icons" series, released by Marvel Comics and Diamond Select Toys. This bust was designed by Rudy Garcia and is a 2000 piece edition.

I rather like mini bust due to the quality (of some designers) and the price of these busts, once you acquire a number of them they also help to fill out any of the boring/lacking bits of your display case.

Emma is quite nice I think and made a nice addition to the set, there is also another edition if this statue which is clear plastic to give a special effect of her powers, though I find that this version has a better render and is more dynamic.

Thanks! Hope you enjoy,

Conjal

Iron Man, Artfx Statue. by Kotobukiya

Hello!

This statue of Iron Man, was the first statue that I collected on my set up from cheaper plactic and none numbered collectiables. After seeing the first Iron Man film (And loving it), I really thought this Cold-Cast Porcelain statue would be great to have (This was also way before I had my glass disply cabnit, I invisioned having it on a shelf above the fire place! (What a mess that would have been)).

Iron Man stands around 25cm, and would roughly be 8.5 - 10cm wide and in deapth. He is a 5000 edition and has a metalic paint that matches the movie and looks rather realistic. He also have the ablity to glow from his chest, arms, and the eye holes, thought I have only used this ones (when first bought) as the idea of leaving batteries in the base does not sound like a good idea to me.... Just incase of a leak.

Whilst at the moment he stands in the back of my collection, behind Superman and Captain America, this statue still is very valuible to me as it was the beginning of a transition from lesser quality products, to starting to see the real value of higher end statues of today!

Thanks for reading, have fun!

Thor - Bronze Statue Edition

Hello!

This is my main, and favourite statue, not my first, but within the first five at least.

As you can see he is covered in a Bronze rendering, which I think give a cleaner looks then the original coloured version. This is the second version of this statue, and it is a 500 edition, with the first version being an original colour and having a 5000 edition.

He stands around 32cm, from the base to the wings on the top of his helmet. The width is around 12 - 15cm, as the cape takes up a fair bit of space. It is rather heavy, so if your using glass to hold it up make sure it is strong, especially if like me you have multiple statues on the one shelf.

This statue come in two pieces, Thor, and the base, which slot in rather easily. Oh I almost forgot, this statue is from Bowen Designs

This statue has quite a presence, and can stand out as a centre piece of your collection if positioned correctly!

I hope you enjoy,
Conjal
